NYPTA 2025 Call for Conference Proposals

Planning is underway for the New York Public Transit Industry’s 2025 Conference & Expo, October 27 – 29, 2025 in Saratoga Springs, NY. The New York Public Transit Association (NYPTA) seeks proposals specific to our conference theme to be considered for conference sessions.

Selected proposals will be allotted 15-20 minutes per speaker. Proposals that tie to the conference theme, "People First: Elevating Public Transit Through Service, Safety, and Innovation", will be given priority.

NYPTA is encouraging graduates of the Public Transit Leadership Institute (PTLI) to present on your area of expertise.

Presentations will be selected based on topics, relevance to conference attendees, timeliness, and other criteria. Please submit your proposal no later than Friday, May 23, 2025.

When completing your proposal, be concise, yet include enough detail to convey the scope of the presentation content. Proposals should not exceed two pages in length.

    1. Enhancing the rider experience through exceptional customer service
    2. Equity and accessibility in public transit
    3. Strategies for increasing ridership and public trust
  2. Empowering Transit Workforce
    1. Training and retaining frontline employees
    2. Workplace well-being and mental health support
    3. Leadership in a customer-first culture
  3. Safe, Smart, and Sustainable Mobility
    1. Innovations in safety and security for passengers and employees
    2. Leveraging technology to improve transit efficiency
    3. Sustainable transit solutions for greener cities
  4. Community Engagement and Partnerships
    1. Collaborating with local communities to improve service
    2. Public-private partnerships for enhanced mobility
    3. Addressing the needs of underserved populations
  5. Empowering Employee Communications

This conference will serve as a platform to exchange ideas, showcase best practices, and foster a shared commitment to making public transit a more people-focused service.
