Ali Chaudhry has ben appointed Deputy Secretary for Transportation after serving as Deputy Secretary for Economic Development. Before that, he was Assistant Counsel to Governor Cuomo for two years with a focus on transportation and economic development.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced the grand opening of the first span of the new Kosciuszko Bridge. The Kosciuszko Bridge, which will be the first new bridge constructed in New York City since the Verrazano Bridge in 1964, will be open to traffic in both directions on April 27, 2017. The Governor will mark the grand opening with a spectacular light show coordinated to music airing on multiple iHeartRadio stations.

The Capital District Transportation Authority was awarded $2 million in Federal Highway Administration funds to help implement its bike-share program, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday.The award was among $13.1 million in grants to projects in the Capital Region, and $112.2 million awarded statewide.
