Details of FY 2018 State Budget Extender Budget    

After failing to reach agreement on the 2017-18 state budget over the weekend, the Governor and Legislature adopted a 2-month budget (through May 31) to allow time to finish negotiations on a full 2017-18 state budget.

The 2-month budget contains appropriations for STOA for non-MTA transit systems at 25% of 2016-17 levels.

Several appropriations to MTA are set at somewhat less than 25%. 
The 2-month budget includes the transit capital appropriations that were contained in the Executive budget as follows:
•    Non-MTA:  $84.5 million
•    MTA:  $1.467 billion
We will continue to monitor the budget process and review impacts, including the timing of May STOA payments.
