New Yorkers for Better Public Transit is a coalition of people from all corners of the state, representing a variety of interests. While the coalition remains the same, the message has pivoted to emphasize the importance of the transit industry to economic recovery. The Transit Training Institute is the first state-wide, not-for-profit, public transit training program in New York.
